St. Andrews CWL hosted Mary Tommy’s 100th birthday party on December 17th. To Mary’s delight, the celebration was attended by many, many family, friends and neighbours. On display were several letters of congratulations, including one from Queen Elizabeth and one from Pope Francis. Here she is surrounded by the younger members of her family. Congratulations Mary!

Remembering Them in St. Andrews

St. Andrews Consolidated School held their Remembrance Day ceremonies on Thursday and what an expression of remembrance it was; with their own wreath laying ceremony, amazing choir and video featuring students expressing what Peace means and what Peace says. Kudos to Vice-Principal Dave Bance and Jackie Dunn MacIsaac who organized the event.

Following the school’s ceremonies, the crowd gathered in front of the school, at the St. Andrews Veteran’s Memorial for the community’s Remembrance Ceremonies.  Many wreaths were laid in remembrance of veterans at this important community event. Lest We Forget!
